Persian rugs from Qom and Isfahan in Iran are some of the finest and most collectable in the world. They are also some of the most expensive with some in this collection worth £50,000. I had the chance to photograph these antique Persian rugs, some of them more than a 150 years old. Famous craftsman like the original Seirafian who made these works of art took up to two years to complete just one and hence only made around twenty in their lifetime. The intricate and complex patterns reflect the deep colours of Persia which are used as wall hangings rather than on the floor.
